Final Post of 2008

Well, it's New Year's Eve, and I just realized that (sniff) this will be my last time posting on my blog in 2008. I know it is so sad. I could have written more, sorry. So yeah. This is IT! The last one. The biggie. The head cheese. The super duper one!

Post Christmas Holidays

Well, now that Christmas is over, there aren't any more holidays left in 2008. Well, I guess if you count New Year's Eve as a holiday. But if the day before a holiday is a holiday too, (like Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve) then should every day be holiday? I like that kind of thinking.

Well, either I'm crazy or I'm on to something. Let me know.

My Realizations

I just finished reading and commenting on several blogs, and I realized that lots of people actually put pictures! Wow, maybe I should try that sometime! I'm sure it would be a hit! (if you are getting excited about this, please refer to "Reminiscing About A Childhood Friend".

Advent Calendars

I LOVE Christmas. Today was an important day in my book, the day I opened day one on my calendar. And wow, I feel so, so, so, (how can I put it into words?)

Sorry

I am so sorry because my new template is so humongous. I will change it soon. I haven't posted in forever. Recently I have learned the following:
1. I cannot play basketball.
2. I am very behind in piano if I just learned to play "Chopsticks"
3. Burritos are good.
4. Poems are not my strong point. (oh wait, I learned that already)

Thanksgiving

Today, to celebrate the holiday, I am going to write about each of the Thanksgiving foods.

Turkey is delicious, however, it seems like the only day I'll eat it is today. During Thanksgiving, I can eat like half a turkey! :)

Stuffing is bread
I don't like it in my turkey
I like it on the side with gravy
And mashed potatoes

Gravy...............mmmmmmmmmmm! That I could eat all day straight! It's so good! It only ever seems to turn out right on Thanksgiving, though.

Rolls! Oh my goodness they are probably my favorite thing on the menu. for once in my life, I like to eat them plain, or sometimes with mashed potatoes on top.

Cranberry sauce
Its kind of fruity
It's probably the only part of Thanksgiving that I don't like
It doesn't go with turkey very well
That's my opinion though

Green beans and bacon. An odd sounding mix which is surprisingly good. I can't really think of anything else to say about it.

And that's it

PIE!!!!!! Those three letters are the best in the entire alphabet. Apple pie takes the best pie prize but peach is good too. Pumpkin is okay, but add whipped cream or ice cream and you've got a second Thanksgiving dinner.

I just noticed that practically all of my posts so far have been about food.

Maybe I need to eat more. :)

Pancakes

The great debate in life is always about pancakes. When you wake up, it's always "what kind of pancakes, what do you want on your pancakes; blah blah blah etc. "

Personally, chocolate goes great in pancakes, while peanut butter just doesn't cut it. For toppings. it's definitely syrup, hands down. None of this jam and butter philosophy.

I know after you read this, you'll get mad at me for some reason or another and I'l find a whole bunch of comments like "no! peanut butter is the BEST!, and chocolate is horrible."

Please don't do that.

Unless you feel a great need to.

Like I did today. :)

French Fries

Another one of my famous opinions:

French fries are one of the best foods ever invented. They can be put to use in so many ways it's not even funny. :)

With hamburgers, it's fun to have curly fries or garlic fries. With fish, you need HUGE fries. And always, always. always, with ketchup! YUMMY:)!

I'm stuffed right now, why am I writing about food?

Who knows?

Ode to Lasagna

Lasagna, Lasagna
I'm going to eat you for dinner
You have layers of noodles
And gooey cheese
Red Sauce too

Anyway, I do like lasagna! And spaghetti. And ravioli. And pretty much any pasta!

Again, I know my poetry leaves much to hope for, but you never know, I'll get it someday!

Grocery Shopping

It's kind of fun to go grocery shopping, unless you're with someone who loves eggplant. I HATE eggplant! Actually, I haven't ever had it, but yuck! Who would eat an egg hanging off a plant?

Car Trips

I think that car trips aren't really all that they are said to be. The only fun part is getting there. The whole idea of riding in the car for fun: I wouldn't choose it, but who knows if you like it, you like it!

I have had some bad experiences with car trips, and the one I just got out of the car from, well, it wasn't horrible, but not great either.

Anyway, thanks if you actually read everything I said! :)

Reminicing About a Childhood Friend

My lame attempt at POETRY:

Oh Mrs. Spud
I think you're wonderful
I can remove your ears and shoes
And put them wherever I choose
So you may end up
With a nose on your feet
or eyes on the back of your head

Okay, I know that was kind of scary, but really, wouldn't it be scarier if Potato Heads came alive? Think about it: if all these potatoes came into your house and had like body parts all in weird places and WOW that is scary!!!!!!

Whew, think about pretty ponies, and unicorns, calm down, whew!
Okay, I have to recover now.

The Truth of Blogs

You know, everyone always makes a HUGE deal about their blogs and it's blog this and blog that and well, I just figured out now, that I'm a blogger (for like 5 minutes) that all it really is is typing things and letting people read them. Hmmmmmmmm.............why is it such a HUGE deal?

I don't know, but it sure is fun!

Okay, that wasn't that hard now was it? I'm just trying to convince myself I guess....
So sorry if you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, again, I'm an amateur!

Right now I am getting my eardrums blasted off by a piano..........playing the piano has its downsides (like getting the same song stuck in your head everyday!)

I really don't know the first thing about blogging, so here I go, with my first post.
